About
Welcome to Jimiri! If you’re exploring this opportunity, that means you’re interested in promoting social justice by building friendships, understanding, and empathy across racial lines. With our Youth Leadership Program, the solutions begin with you!
Every Sunday afternoon, for 10 weeks during the fall semester, you and your co-facilitators will meet with your Jimiri group of middle-school students at Atlanta's National Center for Civil and Human Rights. You’ll help them build lasting cross-racial friendships through common-interest activities and group-building exercises, and hopefully you’ll help inspire them to become future leaders in the cause of social justice in America.
We have several volunteer positions available for high-school, college, and graduate-level students. And we can work with your school to provide course credit for your volunteer hours. If you’re interested in applying to be a facilitator, please visit jimiri.org/students. Thank you!
