About
Student Civic Engagement is leading teams of students to serve the Atlanta community in meaningful group service during the Georgia State Panther Breakaway, March 14-18. Participating in an Alternative Spring Break is a great opportunity to meet fellow students, learn more about the Atlanta community, contribute meaningful service, and have fun!
During the week of Panther Breakaway, a team of Georgia State students participates in daily service projects with local nonprofit organizations and community partners. This year we are focusing on projects that make a difference in environmental sustainability and food insecurity. The sponsoring agency gives an orientation that outlines the social issues that impact the community. Students participate in intentional team building and community service with members of the organizations served.
There is no cost to participants, and transportation is provided to service locations from Student Center West.
